

A woman was shot Friday morning after LASD deputies responded to a person with a gun call in East Pasadena, authorities said.
The incident took place in the 3300 block of Yorkshire Road just before 11 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Responding deputies opened fire and one person was taken to a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound.
That person, later identified by authorities only as a woman, was expected to survive.
No deputies were injured in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing
