

Michael Edward Ward, 78, of Pasadena passed away on March 15, 2015. Born and raised in Pasadena, Mike was welcomed to the world on August 14, 1936 by his loving parents, Stanley and Marvella Ward. During his youth Mike had a passion for water skiing and spent much of his time away from Pasadena on the water in Lake Elsinore boating and skiing with his two brothers. Mike graduated from Arizona State University, spent time in the Armed Forces, and finished his education earning an MBA from USC.
In 1961 Mike joined the family business, S.N. Ward & Son, which was established in 1923 by Mike’s grandfather. Along with his brother Tommy, he successfully continued the business until the fourth generation of the Ward family was ready to take the reins. Mike has spent much of his time over the years volunteering for multiple organizations and provided leadership for many. Survived by wife, Linda; daughters, Kristi, Juli, Heidi and Michelle; stepson, Scott; stepdaughter, Robin; 11 beautiful grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Carolyn Ward and their family. Predeceased by brother Bill Ward.
Celebration of life to be held at the Tournament of Roses House on Saturday, April 11 from 1 to 3 p.m., 391 South Orange Grove Blvd in Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation, P.O. Box 91184, Pasadena CA 91184.
