A 65-year-old woman was rescued last Thursday night by Altadena Mountain Rescue Team in Millard Canyon.
The woman was walking with her two dogs, Tina and Abby, at approximately 5 p.m. when Tina ran off the trail.
The Pasadena woman attempted to retrieve the dog, and became stuck on a steep hill. The woman was able to call 9-1-1, and gave her approximate location.
The Altadena Mountain Rescue Team responded into Millard Canyon, and hiked into the canyon. They quickly made voice contact with her and were able to determine her exact location. Team members saw her approximately 50 feet above the trail, set up a quick rope system, and lowered her to safety. They then hiked her and her two dogs out of the canyon to her vehicle.
