Dear Editor: Community Member Flips the Bird to Arcadia Council

At last night’s City Council meeting , an ugly event occurred that has sent shock waves through the Highland Oaks community. John Uniack paraded in front of our elected City Council meeting and performed a repulsive move: he flipped off each one of them with his middle finger…and walked out.
This disgusting move not only is appalling for a grown man, his lack of civility is simply unacceptable and he should not only be banned from attending future City Council meetings, he should be thrown out of his job as the purported head of the ARB.
With less than a majority of the property owners as members of this Association, clearly, they-and he and his behavior-do not represent the majority of us. On behalf of the majority of us up here: we sincerely apologize to the City Council, the City of Arcadia and the citizens of Arcadia who viewed this unfortunate incident on TV: This is not what we stand for.
