About St. Luke’s Monrovia
St. Luke’s Mission was established in Monrovia in 1891 by a rector who had been founding Episcopal congregations in the San Gabriel Valley since the early 1880s. In 1923, the church sold its original home on Myrtle Avenue and built the current church at Foothill and California. St. Luke’s is a diverse community whose members have discovered in God a “oneness” greater than their differences. They have come to know that their variety reflects the divine comprehensiveness of the God of all created things. Eucharist services are held Sundays at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 12:10 p.m.
