Monrovia is well-known for its partnerships, so no one will be surprised to see the City of Monrovia, the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce, and the Monrovia Old Town Merchants working together to plan a new event. The only surprise may come when Monrovians learn that this event is looking to include the entire community – you, your friends, your kids, and your friend’s kids. Everybody.
The new “COMMUNITY LUNCH MOB IN THE PARK” is inviting friends and neighbors to sit down and lunch together on Wednesday, October 29th 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will be the first chance many Monrovians will have to meet and chat with their new City Manager, Oliver Chi, but certainly not the last chance since the organizers want this to be just the beginning of many lunches to come.
Organizers Tina Cherry, Monrovia’s new Director of Community Services, will be there, and so will Jennifer Stone, this year’s Monrovia Chamber President along with Kerri Zessau (Community Services), Karin Crehan (Monrovia Chamber), Pam Fitzpatrick (Old Town Merchant), and members of Monrovia’s City Council and City staff.
If you like to eat…and talk…and have a face-to-face conversation with your neighbors and community and city leaders, this lunch event is for you. Just stop by your local eatery and grab a to-go meal, or pack your own brown bag, and head to Library Park at 321 S. Myrtle Avenue on Wednesday October 29th.
For more information, please call Kerri Zessau at (626)256-8233 or Pam Fitzpatrick at (626) 862-4297.
