The Gala fundraising event called A Fabulous Night will be presented by the Beverly Hills Performing Arts Center and Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre on Sunday, October 12, 2014 benefiting a new children’s film series for kids in need and for the final stages of restoration of the theatre. Rabbi David Baron, founder of the Temple of the Arts, and philanthropist Stanley Black of Black Equities, will be honored. Entertainment mogul Haim Saban, whom the theatre is named after, and his wife, author Cheryl Saban, will be honored that night too by Mayor Lili Bosse of Beverly Hills as she presents Mr. and Mrs. Saban with a plaque designating the Saban Theatre as a historic landmark. The lobby of the Saban Theatre will also be dedicated that night in honor of Stanley Black and his late wife, Joyce Black.
