Finding a job today is not the easiest task for most people and even harder for seniors who want to work.
The Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. will be the site for a career fair and workshops Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Representatives from private companies, government agencies and nonprofit organizations will be on hand to connect with people who, at ages 50 and older, are looking for full-time and part-time work. Employers at the career fair will include the City of Pasadena, First Transit, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, The Peace Corps, Souplantation, Home Depot, Devry University, the FBI and more.
Workshops will include resume writing, job searching, interviewing skills, starting your own business, and a motivational session.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a resume. Admission is free to members and non-members of the Pasadena Senior Center. This event is sponsored by the Pasadena Human Services and Recreation Department.
Validations will be provided for those who park at the structure on the southeast corner of Holly Street and Arroyo Parkway. For more information contact Raul Martinez at raulm@pasadenaseniorcenter.org or 626-685-6706.
