

A memorial tribute to the victims of 9/11 will be held Thursday, September 11 at 8:45 a.m. in the City of Duarte on the grounds of Maxwell Elementary School located at 733 Euclid Ave. in Duarte. The public is invited to share a time of inspiration and reflection in a ceremony that will include representatives from the City, School, County and State, and members of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s and Fire Departments.
Students from Maxwell will be singing patriotic songs, reciting an inspirational reading, and participating in a memorial flower ceremony. Maxwell Elementary School youth will also present to the Duarte Community Services Council canned food collected as part of a campus wide food drive.
