Los Angeles City helicopters and County fire choppers were called to a small brush fire of about three acres Thursday afternoon. The LA City chopper repeatedly filled up from a water tender and landed in a local park.
The fire was reported near East Foothill Boulevard at 3PM.
Eastbound traffic was snarled for hours as LASD closed off Foothill Blvd for fire personnel only. Media was not allowed to pass by at least one Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy.
