

Three dead in NW Pasadena
At about 4:20pm, the Pasadena Police Department received several 911 calls from residents reporting shots fired in the area of 1700 block Summit Ave. Officers responded and upon arrival came under heavy, direct gun fire. The suspect, a male in his 30’s, barricaded himself in a home. During a standoff, the suspect called the police department’s communications center and was convinced to surrender. Officers took the suspect into custody without further incident.
Pasadena Police can confirm three victims were killed by the gunman. Two others sustained minor to moderate injuries. The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of family members.
The suspect’s name is being withheld pending further investigation by Detective who are on scene.
Residents are asked to avoid the area as the investigation is still active.
