

An early morning Search Warrant was served at a residence in the 400 Blk of Sturtevant Dr., in the City of Sierra Madre. The Sierra Madre Police Department and the Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Task Force were involved in the investigation. Edward L. Sanchez, 66, of Sierra Madre was taken into custody without incident at the location. Computers and other items were seized as evidence in the case.
Police Chief Larry Giannone said” this has been a lengthy investigation and is ongoing…we are urging anyone who has minor children that may have had personal contact with Mr. Sanchez to contact the Police Department”.
Sanchez was book at the Los Angeles County Jail for Penal Code Section 311 (a) Possession of Obscene Matter involving a minor and is being held on $20,000 bail.
