

The Wisteria Thrift Shop, run by Sierra Madre Woman’s Club, will have their grand re-opening on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 5, 6 and 7, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The shop is located at the rear of Essick House, their historic Craftsman Clubhouse, 550 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., in Sierra Madre.Closed since June to refurbish and restock, the re-opening features all new merchandise, says Elma Flores, Shop Chair. Shoppers will find clothing for all the family, shoes, handbags, belts, jewelry, household needs of every kind, small appliances, linens (plain and fancy), books, electronics, toys, vintage and collectible items, and much more. Bargain bottom prices. Club members, who volunteer in the shop, are happy to assist customers. The shop, voted one of the best in San Gabriel Valley, has been operated by the club since 1956 as their main source of income for generous annual donations to many worthy causes.Shop hours are Monday, Thursday, Friday and the 1st, 3rd and 4th Saturdays of the month, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information call the shop phone at (626) 355-7739.
