SONG OF THE DAY: THE XX – FICTION (MAYA JANE COLES REMIX)

The XX became one of the most recognizable names in music with their atmospheric take on pop. With just a listen, we’re sent to our bedrooms in a hazy daze, a journey accompanied by whispering, airy voices and tugged along by Jamie XX’s electronic production sensibilities. Fellow Brit, Maya Jane Coles is also a well recognized name, but in the world of electronic music, deep house specifically. Her productions are world-famous for their seductively smooth and gently pulsing beats, often taking vocals and transforming them into something absolutely hypnotic. She’s done just that with her latest remix, a take on the XX’s track, “Fiction.” Listen to it below and let us know your thoughts.
