

Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts (PSHA) welcomes best selling author, Lian Dolan, to the 2013 Pasadena Showcase House of Design for a book signing of her new novel, Elizabeth the First Wife, on Friday, May 10th, 3 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, May 15th, 3 to 5 p.m.
Lian, author of the popular novel, Helen of Pasadena, is a member of the Satellite Sisters of radio and Internet fame. Lian is an accomplished writer, broadcaster, humorist and public speaker. In Elizabeth the First Wife, protagonist Elizabeth Lancaster’s mother, the indomitable Anne Lancaster, is the chair of a fictional Showcase House, inspired by the Pasadena Showcase House of Design, and a key scene in the book takes place at the annual kickoff party for the Showcase House.
Lian will be signing books in The Restaurant at the Pasadena Showcase House of Design. Parking and complimentary shuttle service is available at the Santa Anita Racetrack at Gate Six on Colorado Place in Arcadia. Books are available in The Shops at Showcase. Twenty five percent (25% ) of the purchase price of $20 is tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
Pasadena Showcase House of Design is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful house and garden tours in the country. This year, 27 prestigious designers have completely restored a 1941 Roland Eli Coate, Sr. estate using the latest design concepts and products while honoring the classic style of this historic home. The 2013 Pasadena Showcase House of Design is open through May 19, 2013. Tickets can be purchased at www.pasadenashowcase.org or 714-442-3872.
PSHA is an all-volunteer organization in which about 75 women and men with a myriad of backgrounds work together to accomplish the Herculean feat of producing the Pasadena Showcase House of Design. As a result, since its inception, PSHA has been able to make cumulative donations of over $18 million to support outstanding music and arts programs throughout the community.
