The second annual Taste of Old Town, presented by Kiwanis of Monrovia, will take place on Sunday October 14 from 5-8 pm on Myrtle Avenue between Lime and Colorado. Several local restaurants and providers of spirits will be giving away samples from their menu. Café Lumar will even have a Croatian importer providing samples of Croatian beer and cheese. London Gastropub will be sampling from their beer selection, and Max’s Mexican Restaurant will be serving margaritas. Wine of the Month Club will be providing samples from several different wineries and distributors.
The Delgado Brothers band will serenade the evening with their own Latin Jazz music and we will have Rick’s Photoworks there with the souvenir photo booth, provided with the compliments of Kiwanis.
The cost of the event is $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.tastemonrovia.com, at the Chamber offices, at the Community Center and at the YMCA.
100% of the profits from the event will benefit our own local YMCA and other youth programs which are sponsored by Kiwanis.
