A Panel Symposium on Issues Facing Women within the Architecture Profession.
As part of its mission to champion diversity within the design professions, AIAPF is proud to present WIA: Acknowledging, Understanding, and Celebrating Women in Architecture. As one of our Chapter’s unique monthly programs, the inaugural WIA event will feature a panel discussion on the evening of June 27th, 2012 at the historic Maxwell House near Old Pasadena. All interested parties, regardless of background or gender, are welcome. Roughly 100 guests are expected. The four women panelists are principal architects representing firms ranging from a successful sole proprietor to the managing partner of a large multinational corporation. An emerging professional will also offer the perspective of one starting her career. Our moderator is also a woman architect and the Director of Southern California Edison’s Savings by Design sustainability program.
Panelists:
Virginia Tanzman, FAIA, Vice President, Parsons Brinkerhoff
Adele Chang, AIA, Principal, Lim Chang & Associates
Alla Kazovsky, Architect, Alternative Practitioner
Ginna Nguyen, Emerging Professional, Gonzales Goodale Architects
Moderator:
Jessica Mack, Director, Savings by Design, Southern California Edison
