The city of Monrovia is sponsoring a Fountain to the Falls 7 mile run/walk in honor of Monrovia Day. This year the annual celebration of the founding of the city will begin with the race up to Monrovia Falls from Library Park on May 19. Pre-registration is required.
The entry fee is $30 (with a $3 registration fee) and must be completed on line at www.active.com. The maximum number of entrants is 400 and will registration will remain active until that number is reached.
Check in the day of the race starting at 6:00 a.m. at the Fountain in Library Park. The race will start at 7 a.m. sharp. and will cover a 7 mule round trip over paved streets and dirt trails up to the Falls in Monrovia Canyon Park. First through Third places will be awarded in each age category. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE ROUTE.
Entrants may pick up their race bag early at Snails Pace, 750 S. Myrtle Avenue from May 14-17 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. For further information contact the Monrovia Community Services Department at (626) 256-8246.
