E-Cycle your old electronics for free this Saturday
Do you have broken or obsolete TVs, radios, computers, printers, microwaves, copiers, scanners, fax machines or any other electronic equipment you want to get rid of?
Don’t throw them in the trash. Recycle them safely for free Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Parking Lot I at Brookside Park, 360 N. Arroyo Blvd. just north of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center.
You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you did the right thing while freeing up space at home or in the office. Electronic waste often contains harmful chemicals that can end up in soil and groundwater if thrown into landfills. Bringing your e-waste to this free event ensures that recyclable components will be reused and harmful chemicals will be kept safely away from the environment.
You can also bring up to five legal size boxes of your sensitive documents for free shredding. Don’t take the chance of your personal information ending up in the wrong hands. Bring it, shred it and be done with it.
This free event is sponsored by the Pasadena Public Works Department. For more information e-mail recycle@cityofpasadena.net or call (626) 744-4087.
